The Community
The Village Cooperative of Loveland is close to walking paths, shopping, restaurants, and maybe most importantly, is convenient to high level medical facilities, provided by UCHealth and Banner. Research shows that senior citizens enjoy longer lives and better health when engaging in social activities, like those at the coop – card games, book clubs, walking groups, lunch outings and pot lucks. In summer and fall, our 24 raised garden beds are the pride of our green thumb gardeners.
About Loveland, Colorado
It is a challenge to highlight the most attractive aspects of Loveland, Colorado, with its nearly 79,000 lucky residents. Should we focus on the Benson Sculpture Garden, with 172 sculptures that circle a lagoon, and the 3 day largest outdoor juried sculpture show in the USA? Or would you rather mention Boyd Lake State Park, where boating, waterskiing, camping, and families swimming delight both the observers and participants ?
Maybe your eyes grow large at the thought of hiking or camping in Rocky Mountain National Park, just 50 minutes drive from downtown Loveland, or shopping and dining in the charming tourist town of Estes Park?
All these attractions are easy to enjoy, due to our mild and dry weather. Colorado is known for an average 300 days of sunshine per year. In winter, a normal snowstorm is only 3-4 inches, and usually disappears within 2-3 days. Fall and Spring bring us near perfect weather in the 60’s and 70’s. Summer temperatures are in the 90’s for 2 months, but the air is dry with little humidity.
Many would point to the cultural attractions of downtown Denver – professional sports, theater, music, and museums, just an hour away. Others would tout the craft beer breweries, art museum, walking and biking paths, and restaurants located right here in Loveland. Oh, and don’t forget the Valentine's celebration, when volunteers re-mail thousands of cards that arrive from all over the U.S. and put our own romantic postmark on the envelopes!
To enjoy all these treasures, you could be living in a spacious, comfortable, one or two bedroom home, surrounded by some 80 other active and friendly seniors. We invite you to browse the rest of our website, to see our modern floor plans and decor, community rooms and activities.
